What is AgeJET™?
AgeJET™ is a non-invasive, energy-based skin treatment. It blends nitrogen gas with ultra-high frequency energy to deliver a “plasma burst” to the skin’s surface layers. This process stimulates rejuvenation. In contrast to older technologies that mechanically injure or deeply ablate/remove layers of skin, advanced plasma therapy delivers powerful energy in a controlled and non-wounding manner.

What areas can be treated?
Delicate areas around the eyes and mouth can be challenging to treat with other approaches. But with AgeJET™, these spots are no problem. Due to its high degree of customization and non-wounding features, this treatment is safe for sensitive areas (like the upper and lower eyelids), as well as the cheeks, jawline, neck, forehead, decolletage, and the backs of the hands.
What happens during treatment?
Plasma energy is generally applied to clean skin in targeted areas. As the energy is delivered, some patients feel warmth. Patients’ sensitivity and level of comfort can vary, so we may discuss approaches to keep you comfortable prior to your appointment. During treatment, our providers carefully control the intensity and the number of passes that are required over the target zones to support your comfort, safety, and optimal outcomes. The average full-face treatment can be completed in around 25 minutes; however, your appointment may be longer (if we need to treat larger areas of the face and neck) or it may be shorter if we are targeting smaller regions (i.e., hands or eyelids).
How should I prepare for AgeJET™?
Before your appointment, you will be asked to avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning and to exercise diligent sun protection. We know this is a good skincare practice, but it is particularly important to minimize your risk of complications and poor healing following treatment. If you use exfoliants or products that contain tretinoin, we may advise that you stop using them for a specific time before your visit. Be sure to share your full skincare routine, medications, and supplements during your consultation, so we know what products should be adjusted to support successful treatment.
What is the healing process like?
Treated skin may look and feel sunburnt. This is normal. A thin layer of petroleum jelly can help to protect the skin and lock in moisture. Since AgeJET™ is so customizable, high-intensity treatments may be associated with peeling and flaking that is not present following treatment with lower-intensity settings. To protect vulnerable skin, don’t pick, rub, or scratch at the treatment site. Continue to keep these areas moist with recommended products, a necessary step that supports a healthy skin barrier. Also, strict sun protection and avoidance of harsh exfoliants and products remain essential as your skin heals. Follow the instructions provided by our team, because they are made with your specific needs in mind.
When will I see results?
Treatment plans and results vary. Factors that influence your experience include the types of concerns that we are treating, as well as your skin’s sensitivity and condition, and the intensity of each session. Some people notice that their skin feels smoother and looks more refreshed in the days and weeks after treatment. Other changes are noticeable over a longer timeframe as the skin responds to treatment and heals.
